Happy Independence Day! |
Independence Day…
The celebration of the day we signed into agreement we are a new nation under God. It is a day we celebrate our freedoms, our liberties, our rights, and independence.
With regard to this Independence Day, John Adams wrote in a letter to his wife Abigail,
“You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. — I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. — Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory.” 1
We too are well aware
While we celebrate the independence of our great nation, we too are “well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure” spent to maintain our freedoms. In light of that awareness; we want to say thank you to all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives, and for those who currently serve our country today. Our gratitude is heartfelt as we thank you for the peaceful land we live in and the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy every day.
We are also grateful to the families whose loved ones are deployed around the world, and we pray for your strength, courage, and comfort. Your sacrifice has not gone unnoticed. We salute you as much as we do your soldiers.
The work and dedication of so many, past and present; who fought for this United States of America, who stood up in the face of opposition; who pursued freedom and liberty with passion and grit; we are indebted to you always.
We do not take our freedoms in this country lightly, and know the independence we celebrate today was achieved on the shoulders of others.
Thank you for your sacrifices.
God Bless You!
