Why is there a business category on My Project Club? We asked ourselves this very question. Then, as we looked at our own “to-do-list” we saw pieces that directly relate to business and were definitely projects we have completed, or we are working on. Our list included things such as:
- Domain name
- Professional email address
- Company website
- Content development
- Social Media accounts
- Product creation
- E-commerce setup
- Customer List
- Computer Purchase
- Accounting software
- Antivirus and anti-malware software
- Backup strategy
We realize this list is far from complete when you think of all the different pieces to building or running a business. It is enough though to convince us there is a place for a business category on our website.
Tasks related to projects for small businesses
Consequently, we added the category and wanted to let our readers know the rationale behind our decision. This area is more about defining tasks related to projects for both online or offline small businesses. For instance, in today’s market an online presence is no longer an option but a requirement of doing business. The list above already includes some of the tasks of creating a company website, some of which we have completed. However, if you are just beginning the process, or like us have only started building, it can seem like trying to piece together a complicated puzzle.
We’re on our way
We’re hoping to share our experiences with you on how we’re progressing on our “to-do-list” here at My Project Club. As you can see we’ve crossed a few items off the list already. Items such as the Domain Name (www.myprojectclub.com), our website (ah, you’re looking at it now), a professional email address, (we have several of them @myprojectclub.com), a computer (working on it right now actually), and others. The amazing thing is that we’re on our way.
What we hope by posting business articles
We’re hoping by posting articles related to business it will encourage others to step out and get started on whatever projects or items are on their list. Along the way, as we move toward achieving success with our tasks, we want to help others do the same. This is core to our motivation for adding the business articles and this category.
